Territory Manager - Life Sciences; South Midwest

Job Description:

We are seeking a Territory Manager – Life Sciences South Midwest, who will direct the sales of the Company’s Life Sciences products.  The individual will be responsible for generating sales and achieving forecast, developing new accounts, managing existing customers, and developing promotional activities to achieve profitable growth in the assigned territory. Ideal candidate would be located in TX, MO, or CO.


  • Responsible for the growth of the Life Science product portfolio within a specified territory.
  • Candidate must defend, protect, and expand existing business, as well as, identify and convert new business and develop new strategic account customers
  • Drive revenue of new products
  • Build strong relationships with key decision makers
  • Utilize support resources (FAS, R&D, CGT Specialists, GSAM) to help close sales
  • Report activities and opportunities into CRM
  • Create and execute a territory plan to meet and exceed the sales objectives for the assigned accounts.
  • Qualify, develop, and close opportunities according to strategic and territory plan.
  • Forecast business accurately to the company as required.
  • Provide feedback to inside personnel on changes in the marketplace and competitive information.
  • Develop promotional ideas and activities in a given territory to assure profitable growth.
  • Generate ideas for new products based on customer input and suggestions.
  • Work within the expense guidelines.
  • Assist with training of new sales personnel.
  • Attend tradeshows and participating in marketing efforts.


  • Bachelor's degree (B. S. in a Life Science) from a four-year college or university; Masters or PhD is desirable
  • Two to five years of relevant sales experience in life sciences industry
  • Intermediate to high level of sales and marketing techniques in a biotech/pharma environment.
  • Understanding of the bioprocess market (e.g. cell/gene therapy, protein production, vaccine) and it’s players.
  • Highly motivated and goals oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and adjust quickly.
  • Customer focused/Strong networking skills
  • Well organized
  • Ability to work with others and independently as required.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • CRM Experience
  • Fluent in English
