Product Manager – Bioproduction

Job Function:

We are hiring a Product Manager, Bioproduction in the Life Science Marketing group. The position will be responsible for product life cycle management, development and execution of successful marketing campaigns including promotional marketing activities, and new product commercialization for Bioproduction portfolio. Supporting the strategic business plan, the Product Manager will report into the Senior Product Manager, Bioproduction, and help to develop and execute strategic and tactical marketing objectives, as well as champion new product development for portfolio expansion. This position works closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, and will require direct customer communication, public presentation, and a team-focused approach. Strong business and customer focus are essential.

Job Duties:

  • Manage assigned product line(s) within Bioproduction Division, in alignment with overall strategic business plan objectives
  • Responsible for product life cycle management for Bioproduction catalog portfolio
  • Manage demand forecasts, inventories, and establishing pricing and price strategies
  • Develop and implement launch marketing plans, generate campaign and tactical briefs, effectively communicate marketing plans to organization and field sales, and report key success metrics and ROI
  • Introduce new product initiatives and champion successful product launch campaigns through New Product Commercialization Process, working closely with Sr Product Manager and cross-functional teams to execute launch requirements. Ensure product offerings fulfill Bioprocessing market needs
  • Execute market research and market analysis, including competitive landscape, gap and trend analysis, market intel and voice-of-customer
  • Create effective promotional marketing materials, sales tools and marketing collateral in collaboration with marketing communications team. Responsible for reviewing and updating marketing collateral as needed
  • Assist in the development of strategic collaborations for product partnerships. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
  • Support customer programs by providing product and customer support, in close collaboration with Field Sales/Distributors, Technical Support and Customer Service teams. Actively participate in training, customer visits/calls, and customer interfacing
  • Travel and represent FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific at tradeshows, seminars and customer sites

Experience/Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Marketing. MBA, Masters or PhD preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product or project management, Sales, or Marketing
  • Industry experience within the life science, biotechnology or pharmaceutical field
  • Must have proven ability to build relationships and lead cross-functional teams, including R&D, Sales, Marketing and Marketing Communications, Program Management, and Operations
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Familiarity with SAP and CRM a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and formal presentation abilities
  • Strong organizational, project management, analytical and problem-solving skills
