Procurement Analyst

Job Function:

We are hiring a Procurement Analyst. The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for management and execution of Procurement activities for categories to include but not limited to, report generation, data analysis, coordination of raw material shipments, analysis of raw material inventory and ERP system planning parameters. Position responsible for supporting procurement activities with a focus on timely report generation, data analysis and overall support to the scheduling and supply planning processes to improve the open order management and supply of raw materials.

Job Duties:

  • Demonstrates experienced project management skills, including project chartering, timeline development, lean practices, and management of deliverables.
  • Collect and analyze data for the creation of all Procurement reporting requirements including scrap, back orders, inventory valuation and lots/KG produced.
  • Lead FISI-T and FISI-EU Shipment Process to ensure all raw material requirements are processed and shipped in a timely manner.
  • Interface with planning and materials groups to expedite raw materials as necessary to support production schedule.
  • Raw Material Safety Stock review, analysis, plan creation and monitoring.
  • Support SAP implementation for successful transition to new ERP system.
  • Update Departmental Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) and Desk Top Instructions (DTI’s) as required to support business needs.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments on any potential impact or risk of delivery materials or supplies on time in order to meet business requirements.
  • Review and monitor ERP System Planning Data (SS, ABC, LT, ROP, EOQ, etc.)
  • Contribute to Total Cost of Ownership savings target as set forth by the Supply Chain management.
  • Contribute to standard cost setting for internal financial analysis annually.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, life sciences or related field; Master’s degree highly desirable
  • 5 years of experience in Procurement or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience; APICS or ISM Certification highly desirable
  • Expert knowledge of effective procurement practices, vendor sourcing and the Biomedical field.
  • Good understanding of cGMP and ISO 13485 with emphasis on raw materials specifications, vendor qualifications and lot traceability.
  • In-depth understanding of ERP and MRP systems.
  • Strong MS Office skills. Able to create documents, spreadsheets, graphs, presentations and project schedules.
  • Intermediate to expert level Excel, Tableu or Power BI, or other analytical software experience.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
  • Good oral and written communication skills
