We are hiring a Marketing Communications Specialist. The Marketing Communications Specialist will work with marketing communications and marketing teams to ensure that campaign activities are completed to meet business goals. This position is well suited for someone with an aptitude for project management, looking to gain experience in marketing communications and the life science industry.
Liaise with marketing, R&D and third parties as required and be a resource to produce sales tools and collateral e.g., brochures, PowerPoint presentations, booth graphics, ads
Project management of Kanban boards to ensure that marketing and marketing communications team members are completing tasks on time and in full
Responsible for ensuring that stakeholders within the document control approval system are completing their reviews and approvals in a timely manner
Work with marketing managers to ensure that the marketing campaign goals are being met to expectations
Assist with tradeshow coordination and other FISI-sponsored events (networking, lunch/learn) for activities such as coordinating marketing collateral, promotional giveaways, travel for KOLs and speakers
Manage lists, campaigns and lead nurturing of marketing automation platform
Ensuring that promotional materials are produced in accordance with company quality procedures and approval process
Assisting with individual projects as requested
Assisting in responding to internal department inquiries and requests
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences or similar field of study. Industry experience considered in lieu of degree.
1-3 years’ experience in marketing communications or related field
Strong project management skills required. Experience with Kanban boards and other project management tools preferred.
Experience in biotechnology and life sciences space strongly preferred
Experience in B2B technology companies strongly preferred
Strong stakeholder management and confidence working with key stakeholders from both technical and marketing backgrounds
Strong time-management, organization, and prioritization skills
A talent for creativity and critical thinking
Proficient with MS Office applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficient with Adobe Creative applications InDesign and Photoshop
