        CTGrade GMP rh PDGF-AA is a recombinant human protein that is produced from E. coli and is designed to support preclinical and clinical research, as well as commercial applications, and offers:

        • High biological activity verified by a relevant bioactivity assay

        PDGF (platelet-derived growth factor)-AA serves as a crucial controller of cell growth, proliferation, and angiogenesis, and its synthesis is stimulated by signaling molecules, such as IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α, TGF-β, and EGF.

        • Differentiates neural progenitor cells derived from human pluripotent stem cells into oligodendrocyte precursor cells
        • Acts as a growth hormone that induces cell division in mesenchymal lineage cells like smooth muscle and glial cells
        • Releases from the alpha-granules of platelets when platelets adhere to injured tissue
        • Binds to cell surface receptor tyrosine kinases, specifically PDGFR-α and PDGFR-β

        Storage
        This product is shipped at ambient temperature. Immediately upon receipt, store the lyophilized protein at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer.
        Shelf Life
        Unopened vials are stable for 36 months from the date of manufacture as indicated on the label. Reconstituted material should be apportioned in working volumes and stored at or below -20°C in manual defrost freezer. For short term storage reconstituted material is stable for 4-6 weeks when stored at 2-8°C. Stability can be increased by adding at least 0.1% carrier protein.
