CD81 is 26 kDa cell surface protein and is known as TAPA-1 (Target of the Antiproliferative Antibody 1) and Tetraspanin-28 (Tspan-28). CD81 interacts directly with immunoglobulin superfamily member 8 (IGSF8, CD316) and CD36. It also forms a signal transduction complex with CD19, CD21 and Leu-13 (CD225) on the surface of B cell. In addition, on T cells CD81 associates with CD4 and CD8 and provides a costimulatory signal with CD3.

Anti CD81, Rat Monoclonal Antibody (9B) is established against human CD81 with Rat.
This antibody is labeled with biotin.

Evaluating a reactivity:

The reactivity of this antibody against a serum of each organisms was measured by ELISA.

When the signal value was the same level as the blank, it was judged as "non-reactive".

ELISA: 1: 2,000 – 1: 16,000
Western Blot: 1: 1,000 - 1: 8,000 *Please use this antibody under non-reducing condition
Immunoprecipitation: 5-20 μg/assay
