R&D Scientist Intern - Cell Therapy

We are hiring a R&D Scientist Intern - Cell Therapy. Provide R&D support of projects in product and process development by conducting laboratory research under the guidance of a supervisor.

• Plan and execute laboratory experiments in small-scale and tabletop bioreactors
• Prepare media from raw materials
• Analyze data and build statistical models to predict product and/or process performance
• Perform various assays in biology, chemistry and/or biochemistry
• Prepare formal reports and presentations for group meetings
• Actively participate in group/project meetings
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications

• Must be at least a 2nd year Bachelor's student and a returning student for the next semester or higher level education
• Classes in Biology or Biochemistry required
• Immunology a plus
• Aseptic technique experience a plus
• Ability to use professional concepts to perform assigned work and solve complex problems
• Ability to demonstrate potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought
• Understanding of mammalian cell culturing, experience a plus
• General knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc.)
• General knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and procedures
• General knowledge of computer systems and productivity software
• General knowledge of GMP and GLP procedures

• For California, the base hourly range for this position is $20 - $25. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
