Sr. Scientist I - Analytical Science

Job Description:
We are hiring a Sr. Scientist I – Analytical Science. The Sr. Scientist I – Analytical Science will be responsible for conducting biological / biochemical characterization of proteins, as well as complete assigned project tasks with minimal guidance such as execute experiments, analyze data, and present data in both written and oral formats.
Responsibilities:
- Perform tests to assess the product quality attributes using SEC, IEC, CE, RP, LC-MS, SDS-PAGE, CE, Western Blot, UV-Vis Spectroscopy
- Perform ELISA-based protein characterization; and qPCR -based assays for assessment of product impurities
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) guidelines throughout the development of Analytical assays
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including chromatography systems, electrophoresis units, centrifuges, plate readers, qPCR and other biochemical / molecular biology equipment
- Maintain comprehensive records of all experiments, procedures, and results in accordance with GDP standards, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and traceability
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including scientists from Purification, Quality Control, and Regulatory Affairs, to meet project goals and timelines
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues in Analytical Method Development and propose solutions
Required Skills/Education:
- B.S. or M.S. or Ph.D. in Biological Science or Biochemistry or related science; with minimum of 8 years (for B.S.) or 6 years (for M.S.) or 1-2 years (for Ph.D.) of relevant working experience respectively
- Expertise required in analytical protein characterization methods, like HPLC, (e.g., Size exclusion, Reverse Phase etc.), SDS-PAGE, Nano UV-Vis, CE, Western-blot, protein biochemical assays
- Preferred experience in ELISA and qPCR
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel 20-30%
