As part of our ambitious growth plans, we are expanding our portfolio to life science research products, and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Global Sales Director to lead this transition and drive sales growth.

As the Global Sales Director for Biosciences, you will play a crucial role in bringing our FUJIFILM Life Science products and newly acquired growth factors into the FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to maximize profitability and minimize costs in the Biosciences Business, taking ownership of profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities. You will also be tasked with building a strong sales and support team, developing strategic sales plans, and implementing effective inventory management strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving profitable growth in the life science research market. You should have a deep understanding of the broad life science product landscape and be familiar with the latest industry trends and competitor analysis. Your ability to build strong relationships with customers and identify new business opportunities will be key to your success.
  • In addition, you will work closely with the Global Distribution Director to develop future plans for expanding distribution channels worldwide. Your expertise in market segmentation and customer targeting will be crucial in aligning our diverse range of products with the appropriate customer base.
  • As a leader, you will have the opportunity to build and mentor a team of regional technical sales managers to reach their targets and drive sales revenue growth. You will be responsible for creating and executing commercial strategies aimed at accelerating growth, increasing market share, and promoting customer satisfaction.

Required Skills/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, preferably in biology, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales in the life science research market, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving profitable growth
  • Strong knowledge of the Life Science and Laboratory Research product landscape, as well as industry trends and competitor analysis
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to customers
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute commercial strategies for growth
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales forecasting
  • Willingness to travel up to 35-45% of the time, including internationally

Salary and Benefits:

  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $124,500 - $174,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
