The Inside Sales Specialist will direct sales of the Company’s Cytogenetic Product Line (CYTO), and provide Technical Support to Cytogenetic accounts. Support Internal departments initiatives as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to direct product development and Marketing activities. Provide support to upstream and downstream marketing activities.

Create and execute a sales plan to assist organization in meeting and exceeding the CYTO sales objectives
Refine and define the Target and Key accounts list, analyze and adjust as needed to ensure accuracy
Managing phone contact and/or virtual sales calls with customers to develop, maintain, and expand existing business in the territory
Qualify, develop and close opportunities according to strategic and territory plan
Document of all sales related activities including sales calls, opportunities, meetings, quotes, product validations, contact activities and other pertinent account information account profiles in CRM (Customer Relationship Manager)
Engage with potential new customers through cold calls, to qualify sales leads and generate new business.
Provide voice of customer to internal teams on product performance, implementation and development areas, and identify training and documentation gaps.
Support internal departments, such as QC/QA, Marketing, and R&D as subject matter expert for CYTO business line.
Support Marketing in developing strategies, marketing plan and sales collateral needed for CYTO product success.
Support Product Management, Marketing, R&D in developing new product ideas for the CYTO product line
Participate in NPD process as SME for new products as directed from Marketing Director.
Provide feedback to inside personnel, Sales Management and Marketing Department on changes in the marketplace or competitive trends and additional information.
In conjunction with Marketing, creates materials for sales training and sales meetings in product areas.
Assists Marketing in the training of new hires and product overviews.
Provides technical support to new and existing customers and/or distributors via phone, meetings, and email. Supports internal departments as subject matter expert for CYTO business line
Gathers competitive intelligence as assigned; implements tactics to build competitive barriers
Must be well organized managing all administrative duties and product requests within these Key and Target accounts.
Promoting and cultivating relationships with industry leaders and key customers through support activities, membership in appropriate organizations, and advisory board panels.
Responsible for working within the expense guidelines.
Travels and represents Irvine Scientific at tradeshows, seminars and customer sites.
Other duties as assigned
BS in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology or related life science
2+ years of inside selling experience in cytogenetic, biotechnical or related field.
Outside CYTO sales experience is a plus
For California, the base salary range for this position is $65,500 to $104,650 annually. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
