We are hiring a Materials Management Supervisor – 1st shift. The Supervisor will be responsible for leading the execution of materials Management activities for Warehousing optimization, inventory control accuracy, process improvements and executing to department goals. Position encompasses coordinating production and Material Management activities.
Lead a team of Material Handlers in fulfilling production work orders, with processes to support 3 shifts of manufacturing, Receiving, Raw Materials releases and pack down operations.
Coordinates timely movement, proper storage and maintenance of stock location system for raw materials and finished goods.
Maintain GMP receiving, warehouse and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational shipping and personnel policies and procedures.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by stablishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures complying with EH&S regulations.
Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisition for replacement
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Co-Lead in coordinating the annual physical inventory for raw materials, WIP and FGs based on inventory policies.
Coach department employees and manage delegation of responsibilities
Assist in the hiring of department employees.
BS/BA in business or equivalent; APICS classes or certification desirable.
3 to 5 years planning experience with 2 to 4 years supervision. SAP System experience is desirable
Full understanding of production, inventory control and material resources planning.
Ability to speak and read English. Good oral and written communication skills.
