We are hiring a Sr. Director of Global Marketing, Life Sciences. This individual will develop the corporate vision and strategic positioning plus requisite tactics for implementation. Secures approval and budget, executes and directs the marketing of the assigned product lines, business segments and communications. Manages departments Bioproduction and CGT; Manage multiple HR activities within the organization.
Develop strategies and budgets. Optimize pricing, position and promotional areas of the marketing mix. Assign priorities of allocation of resources across product lines. Forecast sales as required for mid-term and long-term planning.
Propose and coordinate, execute and implement findings of market research and market analysis projects.
Plan and oversee execution of promotional activities, marketing campaigns including print, digital, electronic media, trade show, direct mail.
Analyze marketing programs and adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
Negotiate contract terms with outside agencies and suppliers.
Communicate with outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns.
Manage development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs.
Manage marketing budget.
Develop a business development pipeline from opportunity identification and scouting through deal closure of new strategic partners
Research emerging trends and recommend new company offerings. Build and strengthen internal and external relationships to acquire new business opportunities.
Research, develop and present business cases that deliver business value or support the growth plan
Participate in forming objectives and planning of sales meetings and sales training.
Review analysis of marketing surveys on current and new product concepts in order to recommend future product development.
Key stakeholder on new product ideas; participate in product development committees for assigned product areas. Provide input to new product development groups on product development focus. Approve all new projects.
Provide post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs.
Provide management and career development plans for direct reports. Conduct annual reviews.
Develop KPIs, parameters and metrics to measure performance. Develop systems to track performance of assigned product areas.
Ensure representation of department in interdepartmental projects.
Spearhead the LSBU brand and marketing communications by overseeing the establishment and maintenance of consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events.
Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Develop comprehensive understanding of key competitors. Develop strategies to build competitive barriers.
Manages business operations of products and capabilities through demand planning, forecasting to support on time in full and customer satisfaction
Build and extend a global scientific alliances ecosystem and manage towards a structured way of working with scientific partners
MSc degree in a life science, supplemented with study in business/marketing; MBA or an Advanced degree
10+ years of commercial, marketing and/or sales experience and background appropriate to the specific needs of the product line and business
5+ years of supervisory/managerial
Cell biology, industrial cell culture systems for bioprocessing, cell and gene therapy.
