We are seeking a Facilities Technician to perform general facility repairs and maintenance to ensure the site meets cGMP and OSHA compliance. This professional works a 3rd shift schedule. Responds to unexpected incidents on facility equipment (HVAC, electrical system) and quality equipment alarms (e.g., REES). Emergency responses such as power outages and weather-related incidents. This professional is also vendor’s on-site contact person for assigned projects.
This position is on site for our Santa Ana, CA location.
Documenting facility equipment maintenance and repairs records in Computerized Maintenance System (CMS)
Installing/maintaining/repairing/tuning/troubleshooting facility equipment: Automatic doors and gates, Heat and Ventilating Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Electrical Systems per planned schedule or work request
Repairing/modifying the facility including wallboard, carpentry, painting, plumbing or electrical services
Evaluating facility equipment to identify and correct reasons for malfunctions
Requisitioning new supplies and equipment, as needed
Coordinating vendors and contractors as required
Moving furniture and equipment to meet operational needs
Responds to emergency (e.g. fire and burglary) alarms and production, quality equipment (e.g. REES) alarms
Performing other related duties as required
May need to drive the company vehicle if necessary
High School Diploma or equivalent, with trade school and/or formal training
Experience of working in GMP environment. Previous experiences in Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices & Biogeotechnology industries
Work experiences in general facility maintenance and repair with the use of hand and power tools
Experience with Computerized Maintenance System (CMS). Proficiency of Windows including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Ability to work independently with no supervision
Familiar with HVAC & Electrical (City Supply & Back Up Generator) System
Driving forklifts and scissor lifts
Understand HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems
Use of hand and power tools
Working knowledge of cGMP & ISO 9001/EN46001
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with help of mechanical equipment.
Specific vision ability required by this job includes close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
