Talent Development Manager

Job Function:
We are hiring for a Talent Development Manager. The Talent Development Manager will promote the Company’s philosophy through training programs that align, motivate, develop, and engage employees in support of business goals and initiatives.


Job Duties:

  • Develop and periodically update the new hire training program
  • Establish minimum training requirements for all new hires in conjunction with the Quality Training Coordinator
  • Develop and manage the management training program by establishing minimum training requirements, performing a skills gap analysis, and providing training solutions in conjunction with parent company training
  • Establish job levels within departments where appropriate and criteria for advancement to the next level
  • Create development qualifications for high potential employees
  • Establish, coordinate, and conduct onboarding training in conjunction with Quality
  • Work with Quality to establish qualifications for trainers in each department
  • Coordinate and/or conduct HR related training required by law
  • Coordinate and/or conduct training from employee development plans
  • Conduct additional training as needs are identified
  • Establish and work within budget



  • BS/BA in HR, Training and Development, or related field
  • PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a training and development capacity
  • Creation/development of training programs
  • Facilitating discussions and training
  • Knowledge of Federal and CA labor laws as they pertain to required training
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to identify the training needs of the organization and recognize where improvements can be made
  • Organization skills

  • Ability to think quickly in response to questions being asked during training
  • Ability to collaborate with staff, trainees, and the organization’s leaders
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GMail
